It would be easier / if I could melt / into a pool / of blood cells / no structure / just liquid / My Mother / would make a puzzle / out of my guts / try to / jigsaw my body back / together / Ribs / on top of / hips / on top of / legs on / ankles on / feet / My body / doesn’t want to be a / body / Anyways / (Don’t worry / it’s in my nature / to reject my own shape) / I’d rather sink / into the earth / and become mulch / Feed the things that grow / green / instead / Green is my favorite / color / I love the way / light mates / with chlorophyll

“What makes you / FERAL?” / It must / come from my / core my / chamber of unborn children / or maybe / it grows in / my fingernails / on the backs of my eyeballs / My body just a / boundary / Vibrating / with violence / I swallowed / all my baby / teeth / on “accident” / in silence / But when I finally / melt / FERAL / is the thing / that will plant them / in the ground / and watch them grow / green / my favorite color
