About Me
Emily Malig is an assistant editor and editor who uses documentary and experimental media as a means to challenge social norms. She examines underrepresented stories through a queer, feminist perspective that humanizes and empowers her characters.
Emily has worked on shows such as Chef’s Table and Encounters on Netflix. A graduate of Loyola Marymount University with a Bachelor’s degree in Film & Television Production and a specialization in Post-Production, Emily is skilled in Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, DaVinci Resolve, and Avid Media Composer. She is also an experienced motion-graphics artist.
When she’s not working in editorial, Emily enjoys cooking, writing poetry, and occasionally making music.
